My Story

Sixty years ago, God decided the world needed something. Needed someone. Not just anyone or anybody.

God decided that He needed a servant. A man who would be unashamed. A warrior – ready to engage in the battle, at any time, at all times. A man who would live as a spiritual man, not as a natural man. Rising above the impulses and the urges of the moment. Rising above the world’s standards of when to love, when to hate, when to fight, when to walk away.

Someone who would care for the least of these. Someone who would be more concerned about the poor man seeking God’s comfort than the rich man seeking to satisfy his own desires.

For those that knew Tyrone Wayne Warner in the early years, it may have looked like God had made a terrible mistake. The circumstances in the streets of New Jersey in the 1950s were far from promising for this little boy named Tyrone. The odds didn’t look good.

The devil looked at young Tyrone and thought, “This one’s gonna be a piece of cake. I got this kid locked down. He ain’t goin’ nowhere. He’s all mine.”

And for quite a few years, it looked like the Enemy was right. Things didn’t look good for this boy in the streets of Camden.

My Story

At the age of 8, Tyrone learned that his father – whom he had only seen once – had just died. At the age of 10 -- excited for the first day of school -- Tyrone went to wake up his mother and found her dead in her bed.

Some might say it looked hopeless. Tragic. Impossible.

But, remember, God had a plan. God was never worried. He never wavered. He knew how to do – in fact, He loved to do -- the impossible. He knew how to take the foolish things and make them wise.

His plan was a teenage girl named Diane. Beautiful. Loving. Caring. Strong. And, most of all, a woman whose heart belonged to Jesus.

You see, Diane saw Tyrone the way God saw Tyrone. Diane loved Tyrone the way God loved Tyrone.

When Tyrone met Diane, well, let’s just say, things began to change. Tyrone began to change. And, after a couple of years of experiencing his beautiful wife’s unconditional love, unfathomable kindness, undying faith in Jesus, Tyrone decided that he needed what Diane had: a life completely surrendered and wholly devoted to God the Father.

And, suddenly, God’s plan didn’t look so far fetched. Tyrone became a new creation. He became the husband and father that God intended. He became the man who walked by faith, not by sight. He became the prayer warrior – no matter how busy he was, no matter how many jobs he had or how few hours he slept. He became an instrument in the hands of the Almighty God. Ready to be deployed wherever, whenever, however, to whomever.

He became God’s prophet.

My Story

Here are some of the descriptions of the great prophet Elijah. These descriptions of Elijah were written by renowned pastor and author Eugene Peterson. See if these descriptions don’t sound familiar.

A prophet is:

A prophet is:

One who counters the world’s way, the culture’s way.

One who helps us stay alert and knowledgeable regarding the conditions in which we cultivate faithful and obedient lives before God.

One who counters the world’s assumptions on how life is lived, on what counts in life.

One who is used by the Holy Spirit to separate God’s people from the lies and illusions they have become accustomed to.

One who puts us back on the path of simple faith and obedience and worship of the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, in defiance of all that the world admires and rewards.

One who trains us in discerning the difference between the ways of the world and the ways of Jesus, keeping us present to the Presence of God.

And, if all of these things were not enough, Tyrone became the ultimate friend and brother in Christ. Praying daily for me and my family. Asking God each week to give him a fresh word to breathe into my heart and soul -- and into the heart and soul of my family.

The Bible tells us that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man brings about much. All I can say to that is “AMEN and AMEN!!”

In my 47 years on this earth, working with senators, governors, and judges, walking with Godly men from all walks of life, educated by the brightest law professors at Harvard, I can say without hesitation or equivocation that no man has impacted my heart and my soul and my life more than Tyrone Wayne Warner.

And, now, my brother is answering God’s call to launch a full-time ministry – 24/7/365 Ministries -- so that he can reach other men like me across the country who need to know the truth, love, grace, power, and peace of Jesus.

After you meet Tyrone Warner, you will see God in a different light. And, you will never again be the same.
